There's lots of news from the breweries in here- new beers, new ways of packaging it, new ways of getting it to you (or you coming to it) and even a rebranding!
I've also found some virtual events for you, links to useful blogs and pubs and bottleshops to get beer from.
Let's hope that this is the last newsletter I need to write while the pubs and tap rooms are closed! I can't wait to be out and about drinking and eating in my favourite places.
Enjoy the read! Heather.

"We updated our blog with a big post called Time for a Rethink in early June, so for our latest thinking and where we’re going, please check that out: http://goodchemistrybrewing.co.uk/blog/
The big news pieces in the blog (though you should read it all for some great insight from Bob on the whole situation😊) are that 1) we’ve brought forward our plans to purchase a canning machine, which arrives mid-July, and 2) we’re putting Bristol’s favourite pale ale, Kokomo Weekday, into mini-kegs now! So head over to our website to order those, alongside our cask Bag In Box, all available for pick-up on Thursday from the brewery in St Philips or our pub The Good Measure in Redland, or for limited home delivery. http://goodchemistrybrewing.co.uk/where-to-buy/
We’re working really hard on getting The Good Measure open in some capacity, and of course hope the brewery tap can soon follow suit. Please do keep an eye on here, on the blog on our website and on our social media where everything will be updated as much as possible in the coming weeks and months. Thanks for your support, you’re really helping your local breweries survive this, and we look forward to seeing you in person just as soon as we’re allowed.

"On Friday 12th June we’re going to re-open our Finzels Brewpub for takeaway service only. It’s a huge day for us, as it’s almost exactly 1 year to the day since we opened our Brewpub for the very first time.
Come by and say hello. Buy some beer and some pizza. Remind yourself of some of the things that we are all working towards. Remind yourself of some of the little things that we’ll all have back in the future when we’ve worked through this thing. Remind yourself that beer tastes best from the tank it was made in, and their ain’t nobody slings pies like Mission Pizza.
Friday and Saturday 12pm - 9pm.
Beer is takeaway, order on arrival. Pizza must be booked in advance directly with Mission Pizza at www.missionpizza.co.uk."

Under Some Other Sky IPA 6.5% ☁️
There will be a time when we are together, but for now a pause, a sigh, a reminder that distance can never separate us, we are just for this moment in time, Under Some Other Sky.
El Dorado hops take the lead, supported by friends Simcoe, Citra and Chinook. Think Apricot, Mango, Pineapple and berries, coupled with some resinous bitterness and a touch of dank.
Light, bright & nostalgic -
Available in store and at selected beer shops from Wed 10/06. 🌏🌸"

All info on how to order and menus : https://www.tapestrybrewery.com/delivery
We have released Mini Casks - reason we’re calling them casks not kegs is because we wanted to be absolutely clear to the consumer as to what it was they were buying. We actually fill direct from tank using our state of the art filling machine, and we cask-condition within the mini casks (as we do with our normal 9g casks). Excitingly, we also have the ability to fill them as mini kegs - so watch this space on this one!
This week we are brewing two brand new beers, one of which is a New Zealand pale ale with a huge focus on Nelson Sauvin. It will be super hoppy! We will also be brewing a little something perfect for the summer which is a Raspberry Belgian Blonde. Although it has a touch of fresh raspberry used in the FV, this isn’t the sole focus on the beer as we have brewed a well-rounded balanced blonde which shows off flavours from the malts, the yeast, the hops (Saaz) and then the flicker of raspberry coming through. Both of these beers will be made available in our mini casks/kegs later in the month in which people can order on our online shop to be delivered or they can collect."
"Thanks to everyone for joining in with the Friday online tastings. The uptake has been amazing which has been great!
Here's our beer news:

Wiper and True
"Firstly, a massive thank you to all the brilliant Bristolians who've continued to support us by buying our beer either directly from us, or from one of our many fantastic suppliers across the city. Every order is a real boost that keeps us going, and means we can continue doing what we love.
Secondly, June is a very exciting month for us as it'll see the first releases from our Barrel Store. We've been honing some really complex, deeply flavoursome mixed fermentation beers, and we can't wait to release them. Stay tuned for more details in the next couple of weeks!
And finally, we're reopening our Can Kiosk for takeaway beers this weekend!

My own status (Bristol Hoppers)
Bristol Hoppers uses dozens of independent small businesses across Bristol, from the places we visit to the beer we drink. These business owners and their staff are my friends and it’s a terrifying time for them.
I am lucky. Bristol Hoppers is just me (Heather). I have no staff on my books and I have a part time job that pays my bills. Bristol Hoppers has some money in the account that I shouldn't need to use. My business can patiently wait out the virus and, with your help, thrive once the virus has passed.
🍺 Interested in taking one of my self-guided beer tours in the future ?
Use the code BetterTimesAhead for 10% off gift vouchers.
This allows me to happily tell the pubs & breweries that Bristol Hoppers customers are on their way as soon as they are allowed to be!
